The Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie McCombe as player-coach.

Having first joined the Imps from Scunthorpe United back in March 2004, centre-back Jamie returned to the Club in January following his release by Stevenage and will now officially take on a dual role with the first team squad.

"Jamie is an experienced player who has worked with some of the best players, coaches and managers in this country," said manager Danny Cowley.

"It has been a pleasure for Nicky and I to work with him and get to know him as a person and the way he conducts himself is a great example for our younger players at the Club. He has a real affinity with Lincoln City and is really motivated to see the Club achieve success.

"Since day dot he has had an involvement in training sessions and our tactical organisation. While we still very much need him as a player, it makes sense to give a title to the role he is already doing."
