Lincoln City’s Youth Academy has the following opportunities to join its team of dedicated and hardworking staff.

Foundation Phase Coach
Paid and voluntary positions available

Working under the guidance of the Foundation Phase Lead Coach, and in line with The FA’s and the Academy’s own philosophy on young player development, the successful applicant(s) will be required to plan and deliver coaching sessions within the framework of the Academy syllabus.

The Academy operates on three evenings every week plus a high quality games programme on a Sunday morning, and this role requires a firm and positive commitment to this programme. Preferably UEFA B qualified, but with a minimum FAL2 and ideally YAM1 (and above) coaching awards, the successful applicant(s) will also be mentored to support their own personal development.

Knowledge and experience of working with advanced players is preferable but not essential. Most importantly, the successful applicant must demonstrate a commitment to the role, to the development of young players and to their own development as a coach.

An in-date DBS Check, Safeguarding and Emergency Aid Certificate is essential.

Academy Sports Therapist
Paid and voluntary positions available

To work under the guidance of the Academy’s Head Therapist, the academy requires staff to work in its busy schoolboy programme which operates three evenings per week at age groups from Under 8 to Under 16. In addition the Academy competes in a Football League games programme every Sunday morning. While availability to work every evening and every Sunday is not mandatory (the role can be structured as a job-share position), a commitment to the role, to the Academy and to the football club, and to all the duties associated with the role, are a requirement.

Applicants should hold appropriate qualifications in the fields of Treatment of Injuries, Sports Massage and/or First Aid for Sport and be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of working with young players, or to demonstrate a commitment to their own personal development and education in the field.

An in-date DBS Check, Safeguarding and Emergency Aid Certificate is essential.

Match Day Coordinator - Voluntary

This key role involves coordinating and managing the match day activities for the Academy U9-U12 games programme each Sunday morning. Games are based at Lincoln City’s Sincil Bank Stadium and the role includes liaising with players, parents and staff to ensure the match day runs fluently and smoothly.

Full training in the role would be provided, and the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate good all-round communication and organisational skills.

An in-date DBS Check and Safeguarding Certificate would be required, which the Academy would be able to offer as part of the role.

To apply for any of the above positions, please send a short covering letter and your CV to: youthadmin@lincolncityfootballclub.com stating clearly which position you are applying for and why you would like to work for Lincoln City Football Club’s Youth Academy.
