The pre-season campaign got off to a winning start on Friday evening thanks to a 3-1 win at Lincoln United.
Having trailed to a Danny Brooks penalty, goals from midfielders Alan Power and Jon Nolan saw the Imps go into the break 2-1 to the good.
A second half effort from Tom Miller rounded off the scoring as manager Gary Simpson gave the majority of his squad, plus a number of trialists including ex-Imp Hamza Bencherif and former Alfreton Town man Danny Meadows, a run-out at Ashby Avenue.
