Keith Alexander Memorial Tournament

Dates have been announced for the prestigious 2013 Keith Alexander Memorial Tournament.

Hosted by the Imps' Youth Academy, the event is held to remember the contribution the great man made to not only Lincoln City Football Club but to the game in general.

Held over the weekend of 17-18 August, Academy teams will compete at Under 14 and Under 16 level as part of their preparations for the new season. And this year the Youth Department aims to make the event bigger and better than ever before, with more teams and hopefully many more spectators supporting the weekend. Plus, a number of local clubs have also been invited this year in an effort to build stronger community links between local clubs and Academy football.

More details will be announced shortly but, in the meantime, the Academy is looking to attract a sponsor for the 2013 tournament.

All proceeds will go directly to the Future Imps Fund, launched recently to attract new investment into the Youth Department to help sustain the Club's Academy. Keith Alexander himself was a huge supporter of the Club's Youth Department and this annual event is a fitting tribute to his memory.
