Following positive discussions between the Club and members of the fans' 'singing group' a compromise has been agreed that will see them relocate to Upper Block 7 of the Co-op Stand.

Having been made aware of a number of issues in Upper Block 6 during Tuesday night's Skrill Premier fixture against Macclesfield Town, it was imperative that the Club met with members of the singing group to ensure that a mutually agreeable solution could be reached.

The outcome of the talks was to utilise Upper Block 7 as a new dedicated singing area of the stadium, commencing on Saturday when Forest Green Rovers visit Gelder Group Sincil Bank Stadium.

All season ticket holders in Upper Block 7 have been contacted and informed of the situation and again, those who were spoken to in person were fully understanding of the situation and supportive of the decision made.

"To echo Gary Simpson's comments in the press, the support from our fans on Tuesday night was tremendous," said General Manager John Vickers.

"But we need to ensure that everyone inside the stadium on a matchday is able to enjoy the game, whilst at the same time providing an atmosphere that is beneficial to the players out there on the pitch.

"With this in mind it was important myself and Safety Officer Darren Curtis met with representatives from the 'singing group' as soon as possible in order for a compromise to be reached. This we did this morning, Friday, and the talks that took place were extremely positive.

"Hopefully the relocation of the group to Upper Block 7 will enhance the atmosphere even further and spur the players on to more success during the course of the season."
