Fleming Backs Future Imps Fund

24 April 2013

Sponsored by

Former Imps' favourite Terry Fleming pledged his support for the Club's Youth Academy prior to his appearance in the annual Sponsors Match last week.

Fleming, who began his own career as a trainee at Coventry City, played for a number of Football League clubs but it was here at Sincil Bank where he flourished playing 183 times for the Imps. He featured in the promotion winning team of 1997/98 before enjoying a good spell at Cambridge United.

And now, Fleming enjoys watching his son Jerell, who was sold by the Imps to Premiership giants Aston Villa in 2012 after having enjoyed two excellent years in Lincoln City's Academy.

Fleming knows only too well the value of a thriving youth department and was delighted to lend his support to the Club's Future Imps Fund. He is pictured here before the game with Academy Manager Grant Brown.
