Two goals from Jordan Thomas helped the U18s to a 4-1 win over Ilkeston in the third round qualifying of the FA Youth Cup.
Thomas's first half brace made it nine goals in three appearances in the competition for the striker and with further goals from Rob Taylor (penalty) and Alex Simmons coming shortly after the break, the game was quickly put beyond the reach of Ilkeston who managed to bag a consolation effort.
A home tie at The 12th Imp Sincil Bank Stadium against Notts County in the first round proper is the prize for the young Imps. Date to be confirmed in due course.
