Colin Larkin has become the latest addition to the squad with the experienced striker penning a deal which will run until the end of the season.

Irishman Larkin (30) started his career as a youngster with Wolves, making his first class debut as a 17-year-old, coming off the bench to score against Wycombe Wanderers in a League Cup tie.

Having failed to secure a regular slot in the Wolves' first team, Larkin, who had a brief spell with Kidderminster Harriers on loan, joined Mansfield Town in the summer of 2002 for a six-figure fee and during a three-year spell at Field Mill he scored 25 goals from 92 appearances.

Two year stints at Chesterfield and Northampton Town followed before Dundalk-born Larkin joined Hartlepool United following a successful trial. He was released by Pools at the end of last season having played over 50 times for the League One outfit.

Larkin, who has spent the past week training with the squad, has been handed the number 34 shirt and will go straight into the reckoning for Saturday's visit of Macclesfield Town to The 12th Imp Sincil Bank Stadium.
