Sean Roughan signed his first professional contract with the Imps in July 2020 following an impressive first year at the club as a scholar.
The left-back is capped at under 17 and under 19 level for the Republic of Ireland and has also featured in their under 21 squad.
Roughan made 11 appearances for City during the 2020/21 season and contributed to three clean sheets.
In January 2022, Sean joined SSE Airtricity League Premier Division side Drogheda United on loan until June 2022.
