Lee Mitchell hailed the spirit of his side after they earned a battling point at Sheffield FC through Leah Hardy and Toni McHamilton.
Beth Scarll and Alex O’Neill had given the South Yorkshire side a two-goal lead at the break in challenging conditions, but the Imps fought back to return home with a deserved point.
Mitchell said “Against the run of play we found ourselves two goals down going into half time. There was a great team spirit and belief that we could get something in the second half so with everyone onboard with the tactical change we went for it and it more than paid off.
“In the end we were disappointed that we didn’t come away with all three points which shows where we are at as a team. We can’t praise the players highly enough their attitude and character was first class and they did themselves and the club proud.”
