After the Imps secured their first three points of the season on Sunday, defender Millie Fugler is looking ahead to the upcoming match against Newcastle.
The Imps scored eight against Leek Town to secure their first win of the campaign with Fugler heading in her first goal for the club to open the scoring.
She said: “It was really good, all the girls were buzzing and it’s nice to get a bit of momentum now so hopefully we can take it into Sunday.
“Leah Hardy put in a great delivery and I think it’s just natural as a defender to be able to head a ball - I’ll take what I can get really!”
Fugler, who signed for City in the summer, now turns her attention to Sunday for a cup tie against Newcastle United.
She said: “It’s going to be a tough game, they are going to be a good competition and obviously we want to do as well as we can in the cup.”
