Registrations are now open for the Lincoln City Half Marathon which is returning for 2023 - and it will be even bigger and better than the first event!
After the success of the inaugural event, it has been confirmed the race will return on Sunday 3 September 2023.
The event village will be based in the beautiful Boultham Park, and Lincoln City Foundation - who are running the race in partnership with Curly's Athletes - hope to see local people pushing themselves and raising money for good causes.
The course will finish in the park itself, the culmination of a 13.1 mile route which covers key parts of the city including the historic uphill area.
Alice Carter, head of healthier communities at Lincoln City Foundation, said: "Our first Lincoln City Half Marathon in September was a real success, and we're delighted to bring it back next September when we'll do it all over again!
"After all the hard work to get the event on it was really satisfying to see so many people achieve their targets in completing the run, and to see so many thousands of pounds raised both for our charity and other great local causes.
"We couldn't have put on the event without the support of Curly's Athletes as well as our sponsors, volunteers and participants, and we hope to once again make next year's staging a real community event."
Those interested in taking part in the event can register now via lincolncityhalfmarathon.co.uk, while organisers are also interested in hearing from potential volunteers or event sponsors.
