City played their part in an entertaining match at Morecambe.
The Imps scored two good goals, the first coming when Lasse Sorensen struck his third of the month.
The second was a great counter-attack move led by Max Sanders and finished by Matty Virtue.
But ultimately the home side claimed all three points with two goals from Cole Stockton and one from Oumar Niasse as the Shrimps battled to keep their survival hopes alive.
