Matchday guide: Sheffield Wednesday (H)

Ahead of the Sky Bet League One fixture with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, we are able to provide supporters with a guide to plan your visit to the LNER Stadium.

University of Lincoln Fan Village

A variety of different food options will be available for supporters of both sides from 12noon. Sausage Grill, Curry Jacks, Love Coffee, the Yellowbelly Sausage Company and the Barbell Burger Co will all be present supplying their locally-sourced delights.

A variety of alcoholic and soft drinks are available. The Fan Village will also be open at half-time for people looking for food or drink.
 
The Red Imps Community Trust will be on hand to discuss their activities with fans, with music throughout and interviews with former players. The Lady Imps Supporters Association will be present and are running a fundraising raffle - with signed shirts for both the men's and women's teams among the prizes.
 
Tension Twisted Realities will be on hand to showcase their virtual reality headsets with a wide range of family-friendly experiences.
 
Match theme

Saturday's game is dedicated to Level Playing Field, with the players wearing special shirts to mark the occasion during the warm-up. There is also support for the EFL's Women's Football Weekend with the Imps featuring in videos for the EFL and Sky Sports.

St Barnabas Hospice will be holding a bucket collection to raise funds to continue their important work.

Food court

There is a food court outside the Selenity Stand which is also available at half-time. Hot drinks are available.

Family activities

Lincoln City Foundation will be running free Premier League kicks sessions on the 3G pitch from 1pm-2.30pm (trainers or moulded studs required, no metal studs). To sign up simply head to the entrance to the 3G pitch where Foundation staff will sign you up.

The Foundation will have activities including an inflatable football challenge in operation before the match in the University of Lincoln Fan Village.

Inside the stadium we will once again invite a young fan from the Family Area to help matchday announcer Alan Long in reading out the teams, while we'll also pick out a supporter to watch the warm-up from close range and meet some of their heroes as part of our regular matchday Moment of Magic.

Poacher

Poacher the Imp will be in the University of Lincoln Fan Village before the game to meet fans - look out for him making his way pitchside by 2.45pm!

Tickets

Tickets can be purchased from the ticket office before the match but we strongly reccomend purchasing online at eticketing.co.uk/imps to avoid disappointment as there is limited availability left in home ends.

The away end is a sell-out. these must be bought from the ticket office before the game.

Half-time draw tickets

Tickets are available at the entrances to the stadium footprint via Cross Street and Sincil Bank, as welll as outside the ticket office and all hospitality areas. The winning numbers will be announced at half-time and shared on social media.

Travel

Gold and Gold+ Members can travel on Stagecoach services for free on matchdays.

For fans arriving by train, the LNER Stadium is a short walk (0.7miles) from Lincoln Central.

The club's drop-off areas for travelling coaches on the South Common (LN5 8LN) or Tentecroft Street (LN5 7EZ), with coaches parking at Tesco Superstore (LN5 8HS) during the game - information on this will have been shared directly with the visiting club via our supporter liaison officer. For supporters it is a five-minute walk along Sincil Bank from either drop-off point to the stadium.

Car parking

Supporters attending home fixtures at the LNER Stadium this season can park in the South Common car park (LN5 8LN) which is just a short walk away from the ground.

This costs £5 per car and opens at 12noon before closing one hour after the final whistle. Pay on the gate is available at this car park via cash and card, but booking your space online via eticketing.co.uk/imps remains the best way to guarantee your space.

In addition to street parking there are a number of pay & display car parks run by Lincolnshire County Council. There is also a discount of more than 50% available to anyone using the Lincoln Central Car Park on matchday Saturdays using the QR code below.

  • Covers a 24 hour period from 9am Saturday until 9am Sunday

First-time visitors & travelling fans

We warmly welcome new visitors to the LNER Stadium as well as travelling supporters. Check out our guide for everything you need to know to plan your visit.

Covid-19 safety

We ask supporters to be considerate of each other, players and club staff as we look to keep everyone safe.

We would encourage supporters to come down to the stadium as early as possible to allow people to enter in the safest manner possible. Face masks are optional throughout the stadium.

If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 such as a loss of taste or smell, or a persistent cough, please stay safely at home and we hope you recover soon.

Although we try to give as much information as possible in this guide and our first-time visitors information, we know there can still be questions. Look out for our Here To Help team - they're the stewards wearing red hi-viz jackets - who are ready to help with any questions you have.

Audio descriptive commentary now available

Audio descriptive commentary

The Imps provide a free audio descriptive commentary service for fans with visual impairments. Headsets and receivers can be collected from the ticket office before the game (from the SLO point 12noon-2pm, then from the ticket office desks). Fans are encouraged to bring their own headphones where possible to minimise the amount of equipment needed to be shared - the receivers have a standard aux output. Anyone with questions about the service are asked to contact disability liaison officer Heidi Langham on dlo@theredimps.com.

Programmes

Our 64-page programme features an interview with Conor McGrandles as well as updates from the manager and chief executive. There is also analysis of the opposition, historical content and much more. Supporters not at the game can order a copy of the programme here.

Programmes are available from sellers around the stadium as well as from the ticket office, with fans able to pay by cash or card.

Subscribers can receive audio commentary as part of their package. A monthly pass offers the best value, with live audio or video streaming (based on your location) as well as full match replays and access to full recordings of press conferences before and after games.
