Imps defender Regan Poole is glad games are coming thick and fast as they look to put Tuesday’s loss to Portsmouth behind them.
With Accrington Stanley visiting on Saturday, Poole is pleased to have the opportunity to bounce back from the midweek set-back.
He said: “We need to look at ourselves in the mirror, reflect on the loss, and put it right in our next game.
“We need Saturday to roll on as soon as possible and I can’t wait for the game. We need to get it out of our system quickly, if we could play tomorrow then we would.”
The visit of Accrington will be the Imps’ second home game this week, and the Welshman is setting his sights firmly on three points.
He added: “That’s the good thing about football, games come thick and fast.
“We have the game against Accrington, and I can’t wait for it. I’m sure the lads can’t either, we need to get back to the drawing board and get three points on Saturday.”
