This afternoon Michael Appleton's side face Neil Critchley's Blackpool side for the third time this season. Earlier meetings between the two finished in a 3-2 City win at Bloomfield Road and a 2-2 draw at LNER Stadium.

Blackpool secured their play-off place after picking up form towards the end of the season with victories coming against Sunderland, Northampton, Doncaster Rovers and Bristol Rovers.

With momentum on their side, the Seasiders faced Oxford United in the Sky Bet League One Play-off semi-final. An away victory in the first leg meant that Blackpool were one step closer to Wembley, however, their confirmed their spot with a 6-3 aggregate win at Bloomfield Road on Friday 21 May.

With six goals to their name in the play-off campaign, Critchley's side are a threat infront of goal. Ellis Simms and Jerry Yates have led the line for Blackpool with a combined goal total of 33.

Blackpool boss, Neil Critchley spoke about the tie in his pre-match press conference saying: "It's been a good season so far, but we want it to be a great one. It all comes down to one game between two good teams and whoever wins will be deserving of going up into the Championship.

Imps midfielder Conor McGrandles sat down with Matchday Live presenter Sam Ashoo to discuss his first campaign in red and white.

The number 18 spoke highly of the Imps supporters saying: "I know our fans will make a huge noise. I've played at Lincoln as an opposition player and know how electric they can be."
