Public Safety Announcement

14 February 2020

Sponsored by

Following recent important changes to safety procedures around LNER Stadium we would like to make the following public safety announcement.

Due the volume of supporters exiting the stadium at full time, in consultation with the police and other safety consultants, it has been agreed that the decision to halt the movement of all traffic leaving the stadium and Stacey West car parks for 15 minutes after the final whistle will enable people to disperse from the area as safely as possible.

However, we are aware that following the recent Rotherham United and MK Dons fixtures, some supporters were unable to access the Stacey West car park through the pedestrian gates in order to return to their vehicles immediately after the game.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused and would like to reassure supporters that moving forward, pedestrian access to the Stacey West Car Park to access their vehicles will be permitted following the full-time whistle. However, for your safety and the safety of all supporters, the exit gate will remain locked and vehicles will not be able to leave the car park for 15 minutes after the final whistle.

Thank you for your understanding.
