City midfielder Joe Morrell came off the bench during Wales' 1-1 draw in Slovakia on Thursday night in the EURO 2020 Qualifiers.

Morrell came on as a 58th minute substitute, replacing RB Leipzig's Chelsea loanee Ethan Ampadu shortly after Slovakia had cancelled out Kieffer Moore's opener.

Despite Slovakia receiving a sending off in the closing stages, the game remained level with Wales sat three points behind second-placed Slovakia.

Morrell and his Wales team mates have an all-important home qualifier against league-leaders Croatia on Sunday afternoon.

Wales: Hennessy, Roberts, Lockyer, Rodon, Davies, Allen, Ampadu (Morrell 58'), Bale, Williams, (H.Wilson 66'), James, Moore.

Slovakia: Dubravka, Pekarik, Gyomber, Skriniar, Hancko, Kucka, Lobotka, Hamsik, Rusnak, Bozenik (Safranko 86'), Mak (Haraslin 79')
