Former Lincoln City loanee and Ghana international striker Junior Agogo has passed away today, aged 40.

Agogo had a brief loan spell with the Imps in late 1999 from Sheffield Wednesday, scoring once on his debut at Shrewsbury Town, before making two further appearances against Halifax Town and Hartlepool United.

Junior became a household name across the EFL in the 2000s, having become a regular on the scoresheet for Barnet, Nottingham Forest and Bristol Rovers.

Agogo scored 12 goals for Ghana between 2006 and 2009.

Everyone at Lincoln City Football Club would like to extend our sincere condolences to Junior Agogo's family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
