The draw for the third round of the Emirates FA Cup has just been made at Stamford Bridge by former winners Ruud Gullit and Paul Ince.
The reward for Danny Cowley's Imps after their over Carlisle United last weekend is a third round tie against Everton at Goodison Park
City take on the Premier League side over the weekend of Saturday 5th January (exact date to be confirmed).
It will be the first time The Imps have faced The Toffees in a competitive fixture since the teams were paired in the League Cup back in 1993, where City just missed out in two scintillating ties filled with goals. The team from Merseyside eventually going through 8-5 on aggregate.
