Tonight we welcome Everton’s U21 side to Sincil Bank in what promises to be a pulsating encounter in the Checkatrade Trophy. A win tonight for the Imps’ could confirm progress into the next phase of the competition if other results go their way.

Notts County and Mansfield Town are the other two teams in Northern Group G and if neither side were to win in 90 minutes, and City were to win in regulation time then it would mean the Imps go into the next round of the competition.

New signing Cameron Stewart is eligible to make his City debut tonight, the former Manchester United and Hull City wideman put pen to paper on a short term deal at Sincil Bank and could face the Toffees.

Imps manager, Danny Cowley, is looking forward to welcoming the visitors this evening in what he says should be an intriguing tie.

“This Everton team enjoyed a fantastic season last year winning the Premier League 2 making them the best U23 team in the country.” He said.

“A lot of their young players have league experience via the loan system, varying from Championship to League 2. It should make for a really intriguing game.”

Tickets are available in advance online HERE or at the ticket office, supporters can pay on the gate this evening but be aware the Upper Co-op Stand is only open to pre paid ticket holders.
