Coventry City come to Sincil Bank for the first time in over 50 years this weekend, ahead of the sold out SkyBet League Two clash we look at how things have been going on the field and the comments from inside the Sky Blue's camp.

On The Pitch….

Coventry visit The Imps in good form, their loss last weekend against Mansfield Town was their only defeat in their last five outings in all competitions.  Previous to that, they had won three consecutive games and had only conceded one goal in four.

They currently sit in sixth place in the table, two ahead of The Imps, however, only goal difference keeps the two teams apart.

Their defensive record currently the best in SkyBet League Two, Mark Robins’ side have only conceded nine goals in their opening 17 league games, however performance in front of goal isn’t as good as their manager would like. City average one goal per game in the League, and Robins is urging his players to step things up this weekend against The Imps.

Off The Pitch….

Speaking to the press, Robins knows his team have a tough test at Sincil Bank and he’s full of admiration for The Imps and the winning culture which has been developed at the club. Although he respects what has been done, he also says he won’t be sending his side to Sincil Bank to defend as he wants three points.

"Tomorrow we have a really good opportunity to go out there and perform against a really good side.” Robins said.

"The Cowley brothers at Lincoln have done a terrific job. The supporters are onboard and with them and the club, it’s a really nice story for them and everybody involved.

"They have had some success and they are on the same points as us now, and it all measures up to be an interesting afternoon. We are looking to go there are try and get three points.”

He continued: "I think it will be a good game. We have two very different styles. They play a high intensity game where they will try and pin us in and play the ball into their strikers.

"We have to start cranking up the pressure now on ourselves and everybody else in the division. We are capable and we have to start showing that."
