The Club has been presented with a Special Achievement Award by Vanarama, sponsors of The National League, to mark our appearance in the Fifth Round of The Emirates FA Cup.
January has been a stand out month in the world of football with the exploits of both the Imps and Sutton United in the Emirates FA Cup taking up many column inches in the written press together with radio and television headlines.With historic records almost tumbling in every match played and a resurgence in the magic of the competition due to the success of both clubs, the League sponsors wish to recognise the tremendous efforts of everyone connected and involved with both clubs.
A statement issued by the National League reads as follows:-
Whilst of course the plaudits will rightly focus on their respective managers and players basking in the limelight of the world's press, the achievements in reaching the Fifth Round along with the gratitude of loyal fans, it should be made crystal clear that everyone in both clubs have had to step up and match not just the opposition on the field but also the gallant effort of many staff associated from top to bottom with all the extra and demanding work which has had to be undertaken to make each match - home or away - run smoothly. Recognising both clubs with these special awards is a tangible reminder that those efforts are duly honoured. Congratulations and well done to everyone."
