Experienced striker Craig Reid has joined the Club on a non-contract basis with a view to signing a permanent deal.

Reid, who was released by Kidderminster Harriers earlier this season, has recently been playing for Brentwood Town in the Ryman League Premier Division but has spent the last couple of weeks training with the Imps in a bid to make a return to the top tier of the non-League pyramid.

The striker, who celebrates his 30th birthday next week, was a youth team player at home town club Coventry City and Ipswich Town before cutting his teeth at senior level with Cheltenham Town in League One midway through the 2006/07 season.

After a short spell with Grays Athletic, Reid joined Newport County AFC and went on to be the Welsh club's top goalscorer for three consecutive seasons, helping them to promotion to the Conference National in the process.

After bagging 62 goals from 106 first team appearances, Reid became Stevenage's record signing when he joined them for a reported £90,000 in January 2011 and he played his part in helping his new club earn promotion to League One later that season.

After a year and a half at Stevenage, Reid moved to Aldershot Town and the following summer linked up with Southend United before returning to Stevenage for the final few months of the 2013/14 campaign. He joined Kidderminster in the summer of 2014.
