Free tickets to the Cheeky Imps launch night are still available...
The Youth Academy's latest fundraiser under its Future Imps Fund initiative is a real ale - "Cheeky Imp".
Produced by Lincoln-based Lincolnshire Brewing Company, Cheeky Imp is a bitter of 4.6% ABV. It is a malty ale with caramel notes and hoppy aromas which give it a good mouth feel and a slightly sweet taste. A hint of red in its colour echoing the team colours of its official namesake - the Lincoln City Football Club Youth Academy.
There is a special launch event in the Travis Perkins Suite on Thursday 16th October at 7:30pm. A free pint of Cheeky Imp is on offer to ticket holders. Just a few free tickets remain available and supporters can obtain one by emailing email@example.com
Following the launch, the beer will be available on draft for supporters to purchase in the Travis Perkins Suite before and after the home game against Wrexham on Saturday 18th October.
Speaking about the initiative Youth Academy Director Roger Bates said: "The idea of having an Academy ale had been on our 'to do' list for some time so when Claire and Karl Brown from Lincolnshire Brewing Company contacted us we leapt at the chance to launch Cheeky Imp.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Claire and Karl for their support and generosity in offering a percentage of sales to the Future Imps Fund.
"I hope that City supporters will enjoy Cheeky Imp and encourage their local pubs and stores to stock it. The more we can sell the greater the sums that will flow through to the Academy's Future Imps Fund."
10% of the value of all sales of Cheeky Imp will kindly be donated to the Youth Academy's Future Imps Fund by Lincolnshire Brewing Company.
Cheeky Imp can be bought in firkins, polypins and bottles through Lincoln-based distributor Small Beer - www.smallbeerwholesale.co.uk
