Youngsters from our Youth Academy had a smashing day of tennis during the half term holiday thanks to Terry Hunt at Rustons Tennis Club in Lincoln.
The day of tennis was organised jointly between the two clubs - to raise money for the academy's Future Imps Fund, and to help promote the tennis facility at Rustons Sports Club.
"All the boys were a credit to Lincoln City, they all worked hard and enjoyed themselves," said Terry, Head Coach at the tennis club.
"Tennis is a great sport for footballers - balance and co-ordination skills developed on the tennis court can be taken onto the football pitch too."
And the idea was fully supported by Academy Manager, Damian Froggatt, who added: "The boys had a fantastic time and this is just another example of the community partnerships we are successful building throughout the city.
"When Terry approached us we were delighted. The tennis facility at Rustons is superb - our Youth Team has already used it, and I would encourage anyone interested in taking up tennis, or in improving their game, to consider using Ruston Sports."
Ruston Sports tennis club boasts a quality coaching programme all year round catering for everyone from beginners to more advanced players, and is looking to increase it's membership.
