Hot on the heels of youth team top scorer Alex Simmons' first team debut as a substitute last night at Braintree Town, yet another City youngster hits the headlines after being shortlisted in the LFE Goal of the Month competition for February.
Matthew Bowles' effort was the culmination of a superb team move and the highlight of a brilliant display to overcome high flying Rochdale recently in the Youth Alliance Cup Quarter-Final; the midfielder calmly finding the bottom corner after some great link up play between Marlon Grundy, Matt Cotton, Rob Smith and Simmons.
