We have failed in our bid to have Jake Sheridan's red card against Dartford on Saturday overturned.
After viewing video footage of the incident that led to Sheridan's sending off, we lodged an appeal to the Football Association but confirmation was received this afternoon (Tuesday) that the panel had supported referee Ross Joyce's decision to dismiss him following his 35th minute challenge on Lee Noble.
As such, Sheridan will serve a three-match ban, ruling him out of the away games at Stockport County and Hereford United plus the home match against Barrow.
