A creative midfielder, Ted Bishop signed for the Imps in July 2021, following a seven-year professional spell with Ipswich Town.
Bishop joined the Tractor Boys at under 8s before signing his first professional contract in May 2014. In his first senior season, Bishop helped Ipswich secure a Championship play-off place with seven assists in 35 appearances, whilst also picking up the club’s Young Player of the Year award.
In March 2015, the midfielder received his first call-up to England, being named in their under 19 squad for the European Under 19 Championship qualifiers. Between the 2015/16 and 2018/19 seasons, Bishop made a further 45 Championship appearances for Ipswich.
During his final season with the Blues, Bishop featured 36 times in Sky Bet League One for Ipswich, scoring four goals as the Tractor Boys finished ninth.
Bishop has now made more than 90 appearances for the Imps.
